Here I am, twerking on the terrain, looksgood.jpg. Now we just need to paint some roads onto this terrain.
Easy, right? RIGHT?
To paint part of the terrain gray, one must make a whole new material, link in layered textures, and then will have the option to paint on the map, but only after creating a whole new layerinfo object for specifically that layer. The amount of effort to do such a trivial thing is unreal. Not only that but I import textures, not materials, which means I can’t use UE4’s really nice grass which they did 1000 things to in order to make it look pretty, I have to use ugly grass and ugly dirt.
I JUST WANTED TO PAINT SOME ROADS.
ON A SCALE OF 1 – RAVEN, UNREAL IS BEING NOT VERY RAVEN
I have a new solution that I am going to try later, we’ll see.
Until next time
